Large-scale testing from Businessware Technologies: key aspects

Businessware Technologies conducted a large-scale study and comparative analysis of seven leading AI models designed for intelligent document processing, with a focus on the automation of work with digital invoices. The purpose of the analysis was to determine how effectively these models are able to recognize and extract data from invoices with different layouts and in different languages in real-world conditions.

Why was the testing conducted?

AI invoice processing was tested on current data sets simulating real business documents, which made it possible to evaluate the readiness of each model for practical use out of the box without additional configuration. During the tests, experts compared such indicators as the accuracy of invoices both without product detailing and with their listing, the speed of processing each page, as well as cost-effectiveness taking into account the cost of processing a large volume of documents.

The results showed that the models have different levels of efficiency depending on the specifics of the task. For example, the Azure AI Document Intelligence platform demonstrated high accuracy and acceptable processing speed – about 4.3 seconds per page, while the cost of processing 1000 pages was about $ 10. Other models, such as GPT-4o in combination with third-party OCR systems, offer additional capabilities for accurate processing of complex layouts and various languages, providing flexibility and scalability in business process automation.

Such comparative analysis helps businesses navigate the variety of modern AI solutions, allowing them to choose the best tools that will ensure maximum accuracy and efficiency at minimum cost. The implementation of proven models significantly improves the quality of processing accounting and financial documents, reduces the human factor and speeds up workflows, which is especially important for companies with a large volume of document flow.

Thus, the Businessware Technologies study provides important information for companies seeking to implement intelligent document processing based on advanced AI technologies. It contributes to the development of digital transformation, improvement of management processes and achievement of high efficiency in working with corporate documentation.
