McLaren Automotive is declassified an open supercar modification called MP4-12C – Spider.
The novelty boasts a folding carbon roof, which can be removed at speeds up to thirty kilometers per hour. This process will last only seventeen seconds. It should be noted that due to the mechanism that is responsible for the work of the top, the supercar began to weigh more by forty kilograms in comparison with the compartment – up to a thousand four hundred and seventeen kilograms. In addition, the car added a wind screen, together with the passenger protection system when overturned.
The novelty is equipped with a V8 engine of six hundred twenty -five horsepower forces with a volume of three as many as eight tenths and a robotic transmission (seven steps) with two clutches. Before the treasured “hundreds”, the novelty accelerates over three as long as one tenth seconds (like a compartment), and up to one hundred and sixty kilometers per hour – in six whole seconds (two -tenths of the slower). The maximum speed with a raised roof is three hundred twenty -six kilometers per hour, and with a folded one -three hundred and thirteen kilometers per hour.
